"Blood test"

I attended the hospital to have a blood test today, I didn't have to wait long but when I went in for the test I said hello and sat down, the nurse just looked at me, didn't say a word, didn't ask any ID questions, took the blood and put a dressing on, all in silence. I have a lot of blood tests, but what if it was my first time, what an uncaring experience it would have been, I thought nurses were suppose to be the caring profession?
