What could be improved
Communication is very bad. I was a patient in the fertility department and had an operation, but is was not possible to call and ask a question before the operation as calls were not returned by the relevant secretary and one always hit an answering machine. After my discharge my paperwork was not referred promptly to a private hospital as promised and after 3 weeks of waiting I cannot find out whether my paperwork got lost as my calls are not being returned. After several delays during my treatment even leaving the NHS seems to be riddled with problems. Please improve communications and don't ignore patients' phonecalls!
