"Brilliant Maternity Care!"

About: Luton & Dunstable Hospital

I had 2 previous births in watford and didn't have a very good time and was not happy with the aftercare! (I won't go into detail, we haven't got all day) I just assumed that that was what I would get in all hospitals! Moving to Dunstable meant the L&D was closest and I'm so glad I went here! They made sure I was constantly scanned for previous pre-eclampsia with my first baby, watford didn't bother doing this with my second baby so I was suprised they were so thorough with my 3rd! On the day of my c-section the staff were so friendly, showed they cared about their patients and seemed to actually enjoy their job! It was such a happy environment, opposite to what I had before! I was 5th in line for my section and there had been emergencies earlier so they were running behind to the point that they probably wouldn't have been able to fit me in (not their fault) however the surgeon stayed over their shift as did some others in their theatre and some of the emergency section team said they would help too! They didn't seem put out at all and were so lovely even allowing me to witness the birth of my son! It was all straight forward! I recovered quickly! After care was great and friendly and I was home the following day! I can't fault it at all! And it's put my faith back into hospitals. Thanks L&D
