I have given a previous 5 star to the maternity ward! I can't fault it! However, the a&e seems a little bit of a mess! I know it's recently changed in there but I feel it's for the worst! When you enter most a&e departments you are seen at 1 desk! L&D you go to one desk and then are meant to go to another desk! There are no signs telling you to do this and I wasn't told at the desk! I ended up waiting 4hours and not being seen as I wasn't booked in! Yes silly if you know what you are doing but as its a new system and most a&e deps are 1 desk you can do with it being sign posted and your staff at the desks explaining! While I am here you could also do with slightly more comfortable seats too (worst out of all a&e i've been too) with a 4 hour wait! Not anything fancy but just ones that don't squeak everytime the person next to you constantly moves! 4 seats attatched to eachother means a constant amount of sqeaking!
