On 11th December 2015, my Mother was admitted via A%E with a weeping Abcess on her stomach, this was caused by an infected mesh on an old hernia repair. She was told that this mesh would need to be removed, and it would be a large operation. Intravenuos Antibiotics, settled the infection down enough for my mother to be let home just before Christmas 2015. She is still waiting for her operation nearly 10 months later. On the 2 occasions we have actually managed to speak to someone at Pinderfields, we are informed that "the waiting lists are very long", (usually all you get on telephoning is an hour of music, and then cut off). As my mother is 76 this year, one cannot help but think, that the unspoken thought is that My mothers death would be much more convenient to Pinderfields, than the `trouble` of an operation. This hospital fails on every way of patient care, from not answering the `phones, to basically doing nothing. A Shockingly bad Hospital. Digusted!
