"Poor Service at Victoria Infirmary (Glasgow)"

This was nearly a year ago now but this still hasnt gone from my mind about the fact the way my gran was treated. She went into hospital because of a big spot on her leg which we were told could be sorted in a day or 2. I felt the doctors took ages by walking about making us wait. My gran got kept in hospital. She was from pakistan therefore could not understand english nor speak it. We asked if one of my family members could stay with my gran as she could not speak english or understand it at all but the doctors refused. The nurses' attitude was terrible towards me and my family. My gran was getting more ill rather than feeling better in hospital. As days passed we still kept asking if we could stay with my gran. My gran was very vulnerable and didnt like being alone. No one understood our problem. My gran died in that hospital when no one ever thought that was going to happen. She was meant to be in their for 2 days not go their and die. It still hurts me today how those nurses treated my family and my gran. We should have been allowed to stay with my gran maybe she would've been alive with us today. I just want to say i think a family member should be allowed to stay with a patient if they dont understand english at all.
