I was admitted to hospital at the end of January with a bad chest infection and asthma. I thought I was only going in to have a chest x-ray but I was so poorly they decided to keep me in.
First of all, I noticed how efficient and kind everyone was during the triage phase and the initial treatment (I think I was in B1 or B2, I can't remember exactly as I was really poorly).
Then I was sent to Ward A2 where I stayed for 6 days. Again, I was extremely impressed. Everyone from the doctors to the nurses and the carers is attentive and kind. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. The ward is kept scrupolously clean and the food is varied and tasty.
Of course it's still a busy hospital which means that it can get noisy at night or that sometimes you have to wait a little longer for somebody to look after you (luckily I could walk to the bathroom and feed myself but some patients had to rely on carers for that). Some people may find this frustrating and it's understandable but I honestly believe that staff are doing their absolute best, in fact they are going the extra mile.
It was overall am extremely positive experience and I would like to thank everyone for looking after me so well.
