I attended for a bilateral irridotomy.
I was very nervous and whilst I know it is an everyday routine for the staff it was my first time. I was asked to sign consent form with no information as to what to expect post procedure.
I think it would be a good idea to send the patient information with letter to attend clinic or on leaving the clinic. Also feel time should be given to read through the consent form before signing, not just sign where the cross is after drops have been put in and room had low light. Thank goodness for Google.
"very nervous about procedure."
