"5 star treatment, on Laurel Ward, DPoW"

I was recently a patient on the Laurel Ward at Diana Princess of Wales hospital and care and support I was given was 2nd to none. Having been admitted due to unfortunate circumstances all the staff showed me such respect and dignity and helped me through a tough time, and some difficult decisions. I was well informed of the treatment I would be receiving and what was involved, my opinion was taken into consideration and I felt that staff listened to my wishes. I also had to go to theatre for an operation, again all staff were very polite and caring towards me. The recovery nurse especially had some very kind and comforting words to say, which really helped me through a difficult time. This was my first hospital stay (and hopefully my last) however I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the ward and the quality of the care given. I would like to thank all the staff who looked after me during my stay and hope that this gets recognised by the trust as I am aware general public have a tendency to oversee positive recognition where its due.
