"endoscopy"

About: Chase Farm Hospital

I went for an upper gastroscopy in the new unit. I expected to be seen relatively near my appointment time. After waiting three quarter of an hour I was asked through asked my details and told to change into a gown. I was then left sitting in cubicle for another hour and three quarters being told every so often I would be seen shortly. I feel that your appointments system of getting everybody in at the same and leaving them sitting for ages is a joke I personally was having the procedure without sedation and it soon became clear that the other patients that were being sedated were being dealt with first for obvious such as recovery. If this I the way it is done what was the point in calling me in so early so an already nervous paitent can get more anxious than necessary . I suggest you try some organization. Not impressed
