Our beautiful baby girl was born at St Peters in June and I wanted to thank all the wonderful staff who cared for us during and after delivery. We were delighted we managed to have a successful VBAC (having had a previous C section for a breech baby) and I'm sure it was all down to their excellent support throughout. We were a higher risk labour and the midwives, consultants and anaesthetist on the labour ward were just fantastic (particular thanks for a highly effective epidural!). Clear and compassionate about the different decisions we had to make throughout, and kept a close eye on us without being intrusive. We felt in very safe hands and left with a really positive experience. Special thanks for allowing us plenty of bonding time after delivery, lots of skin to skin time with both of us, and no rushing at all. Also thanks to the postnatal ward who were just as good. Couldn't have asked for more, we feel very lucky to live in this country and have such excellent care available to us.
