(as the patient),

Had an accident & injured my leg, the bad from this was I was off work for 11 months, the good from this was I got to meet 5 hospital nurses & 4 nurses from my GP's surgery, it is not until that something like this happens that you realise what the NHS does for you. The care which I receive (still ongoing & am at 18months now) was in my opinion excellent, great interaction with the nurses about my treatment, fully explained about what was going on & why, always given time to think about the treatment & felt able to question if unsure or unhappy, always a discussion with me at every change, appointments were fitted in with my return to work

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience following your accident. I was sorry to hear about this and the ongoing care you have required; however I was pleased to hear your positive feedback. It sounds like you have developed good relationships with the staff providing your care and it is good to hear that you feel well informed and included in the decision making. It was also good to hear that staff have been flexible with your appointments, which can prove tricky when trying to fit around work. I will pass your post on to the teams identified.
