"Keep up the good work"

About: Ayrshire & Arran Community Services

(as the patient),

One and half years ago was the worst day of my life, I found my only beautiful son who had passed away in his sleep. My doctor referred me for treatment to a counsellor called Ian whose help with EMDR, managed to put all the trauma and hysteria to the back of my mind, my final therapy was visiting my sons grave. Thank you Ian for giving me the will to go on in life. Keep up the good work you do in helping people who are broken in life.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear elma,

I am so sorry, I can't imagine how awful this must have been. As a mother myself, I can't conceive the pain it must have caused.

I am so glad that you found the help you needed in Ian and the community service. I hope your healing continues and perhaps one day you may no longer feel broken.

If you can possibly pop on to PO and do a quick post, it would be really helpful if I knew which area, North, South or East Ayrshire you live in. It will help me to pass this to the correct team and to Ian to let him appreciate how much he has helped at such a traumatic time.

Thank you for sharing this with us, it must have taken a lot of courage to put this on PO but I am sure it will also help others in a similar situation to see there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Kind regards,

Eunice
