"My admission from Surgical Assessment Unit through to Woodland Ward"

About: East Surrey Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I had seen my GP earlier that day and he rang the SAU for an appointment for me. It was scheduled for 1. 30. I saw a consultant who diagnosed Appendicitis and said I needed to be admitted and they would operate the next day. Unfortunately, no fault of anyone's but there was no bed available until after 6. 00 pm. I eventually went to Woodland Ward.

The nursing team and my consultant were absolutely brilliant. They could not have done more for me. Truly fabulous .... I had CT Scan, X-rays of my stomach and chest. The diagnosis from the results was diverticulitis. I stayed in from last Wednesday to Friday evening. First class, incredibly professional service by everyone.

Thank you all for your help. I so appreciate it.

Dear Lyndy Lou

Mnay thanks for taking the time to give us your feedback. It is good to hear that you feel you were well looked after by the surgical team. I am sorry that it took some time for you to be admitted to the ward.

best wishes
