absolutely appalling treatment on arrival, from midwife at birth centre. I was having contractions,2 minutes apart, and was told to go home.I was in agony, and had to stand in a corridor while contracting.I was eventually let back on the birth centre, which was empty.it was never explained during any of my previous appointments that no pain meds are offered at the centre.I was sent to the Labour ward for an epidural.when I became 10cm dilated,I was for ced into stirrups and told to push as hard as I could.I never wanted to be in that position, with the law of gravity working against me.as a result I suffered a major tear, and lost a litre of blood.my recovery has been impeded by having no advice, care or support.I was left on bloody sheets, medicine was not offered, baby was not checked for two days.I needed help as the combination of epidural, stitches and other pregnancy related issues, but was left alone, with no word on when I would be discharged.on leaving I needed a wheelchair and help with my bags, staff were reluctant to help, but eventually obliged.definitely would not recommend.very disappointing.I was born at the old Queen Charlottes,my Mother had a very positive experience, standards have fallen.
"disgraceful"
