"Delays in admission to amu and ultra sound scan"

About: Sandwell General Hospital

Admitted on 10pm 1st Aug in a& e with chest and abdominal pain. Got admitted to amu dept at 9.30 am on 2nd Aug. Doctors checked and confirmed untra sound scan required. Told scan would be done 9.30am on 3rd Aug. Found delays in getting admitted in amu and getting utra sound scan unacceptable.

I agree that that is poor.

We have worked hard to tackle long waits and are doing well most days.

Recent days have seen a surge of admissions and I am afraid you were not the only person delayed.

We are working to try and address the issues as fast as we can.
