"Unprofessional practices in Early pregnancy..."

About: Homerton University Hospital

Early pregnancy unit committed a terrible and unprofessional error when refusing to collect the tissue from my miscarriage for genetic testing. Some tissue was collected the previous day by one of the nurses and when we called to bring more tissue in they refused claiming that the tissue already collected was enough. The day of our appointment with the consultant, we were told that the test result was inconclusive because the tissue that was collected was from the womb not from the embryo. We missed a important test that could have gave us crucial information of the cause of the miscarriage because a terrible practique in the clinic. This error that could have been avoided by collecting all the possible tissue. The impact of this error on us was huge.
