"I can’t fault any of the treatment or care I had at Penrith "

I spent 7 ½ months in Carlisle, Penrith and The Freeman hospitals from July 2005 after a triple by-pass operation. I can’t fault any of the treatment or care I had at Penrith and the staff couldn’t have been better and were very friendly. We still visit the hospital on Sunday lunch and the food is great. I can’t understand and why they are reducing the number of beds in this hospital having heard today that there is a waiting list for beds- what is going on? A few years back we fought to keep it open and it is obviously needed and they say we wanted a larger in Penrith?
