"NHS Patient"

Having recently had my Gallbladder removed at Circle I cant praise the surgeon, anaesthetists and recovery staff highly enough they did a great job.

However, I was only meant to be a day case but as I was very unwell after my operation , I had to stay in overnight. Unfortunately I was not made welcome on being admitted to one of the wards and the charge nurse when I arrived was very stroppy and had an attitude. I must say though this was not the case for all of the nursing staff, some of whom were very friendly. I did also find the communication between colleagues lacked .

When you are not well, you just need that friendly face and a little reassurance. Housekeeping staff who came with supper and breakfast were lovely and very accommodating.

Response from Circle Bath

Thank you for your feedback. We continually strive to improve the service we deliver to our patients. I am sorry that some of the standards of care you expected fell short of what we delivered on this occasion. We have an improvement plan in place for our inpatient department and we hope that staff behaviours will be affected in a positive way as a result of this. Our Lead Nurse will take on board your comments and share them with the relevant nursing staff. We will also pass on your positive feedback to the staff involved as it is great to hear.
