Having collapsed in Swindon whilst walking with my wife, Wiltshire emergency services were with us within 4 minutes. I was taken to the A and E department at GWH where I received excellent care and attention from the staff, who quickly diagnosed my problem. I was moved to the Acute Cardiac Care Ward and within 48 hours had a pacemaker fitted leaving hospital some 24 hours later. I found communications between the departments dealing with my case were exceptional. The attention and care given to both my wife and myself was exemplary, a service that we would describe as second to none. We would like to thank all the staff at GWH for their continuing commitment to patient care.
"Superior care from GWH NHS hospital."
