"Blackpool Home birth & Delivery suite"

I want to say Thankyou for the great care I received during my pregnancy and birth of my son. The Kirkham community midwives were excellent for my antenatal appointments and really supportive for my home birth, unfortunately on the day things didn't go to plan due to my baby being distressed so I had to be transferred to hospital. The paramedics were lovely on the short journey in. On arrival at delivery suite I was cared for by a great midwife who was very reassuring and made what could have been a very scary experience turn out to be a positive one, all the staff involved in the delivery were friendly and professional and made sure I knew what was going on. There were no bed available on the postnatal ward so a room was made up in the birth centre for us for the night, all the staff were really helpful and made the whole experience a lot easier, we were able to go home the next day. I can't thank everyone enough for making sure my son was born safe and well, despite the fact that they are all clearly very busy they still managed to make us feel well cared for.
