"Brilliant staff and care"

About: York Hospital

I had my first child in 2013 at York hospital and received fantastic care throughout my labour. I never stayed on the ward as I was discharged straight from labour ward home. My second child was born earlier this month and I had to be induced. The staff were fantastic, caring and explained the process to me clearly. When I did go into labour I was extremely well looked after and ended up very quickly having to go for an emergency caesarean. The doctors and midwives acted quickly but calmly and were reassuring and kind. I spent 3 days on the wars afterwards and all the staff were kind, caring and helpful. Really can't fault the care I received and despite having two totally different births the standards were consistent throughout.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us.

It's fantastic to hear that staff were reassuring, caring and helpful during your inpatient stay at York Hospital.

I am very pleased to hear that despite both childbirth experiences being very different the care we provided was consistent and to a high standard.

I hope you are both doing well and that you will continue to receive great care should you need to use our services again.

Kind regards
