"poor after care."

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital

My mother stayed on this ward 108 for 3mths after major surgery. And it was terrible under staffed no communication between them. To many mistakes1wks notes missing, left to dehydrate, not checking her drain bag leading to compilations, always thirsty and half the staff shouldn't be working there. My mother was poorly and I don't think they could cope with this and didn't know what do half the time. The family was not happy with this situation. We live 60 miles away and I hated leaving her. But you put your trust in the staff and don't want to make fuss until it is to late!! I hope I never have to go to this hospital or see it again.
