I attended on Tuesday for an Endometrial Ablation operation. Heavy, painful periods have blighted my life for the past 2 1/2 years and I am also on Chemotherapy for CML so I was feeling worried and anxious post op- I needn't have been, as the staff's cheerfulness, kindness and utmost professionalism made my time in the ward a pleasant, calming and comfortable experience. They couldn't do enough for myself and the other patients to put us at ease.
Dr Monaghan visited me prior to and after my op- I called him an Angel for helping me to now have an improved quality of life and I truly mean this! John and Mark the anesthetists, were exceptional too and listened to the queries and concerns that I had. They visited me too after the op- which made me feel very cared for indeed.
The Nurses were AMAZING! ! Louise checked me into the ward and was so cheerful and professional despite being very busy and Ali and Nola, Jackie, Suzanne, Siobhan and Helen were backwards and forwards checking on me all day as I felt poorly afterwards and promptly gave me sick bowls, pain relief, a heated pad for my tummy and extra blankets.
Thank you Nola for the jab in my bottom to stop me being sick! ! I remember laughing about this!
I remarked on the absolutely immaculate ward and thanked the cleaner as it was spotless.
From the bottom of my heart thank you all for your outstanding level of care, professionalism, empathy and kindness - it will never be forgotten- keep up the good work! !
