"Emergency and outpatient ENT services"

I was seen by the ent specialists in a and e because of a serious infection in both my ears and my sinuses. I was seen within a matter of minutes of the a and e DR referring me last Friday evening by two ent specialists. I was given new medication with 15 minutes and allowed to go home. I felt like throughout the whole a and e experience I was treat with empathy and respect. I then had a follow up appointment in ward 23 on Monday where I was seen immediately by the on ward Dr. They kept me fully informed of everything that was going on. Today I was also seen in outpatients by a specialist nurse and ent Dr. Both were fantastic, everything was fully explained and I really feel that they went the extra mile to ensure my continuing improvement and understanding of my condition. The nurse I saw took the time to engage with me into the intricacies of my recovery period. I have previously had consultations and operations in private hospitals, my experience in this department is as good if not better than the times I have paid for treatment!! In the current climate of how much pressure is placed on the nhs I am happy to take the time and praise all the individuals involved in my interaction with ENT. Thank you
