several times I have attended endoscopy, each time it has caused considerable discomfort as the drugs given do not work, my last visit (22/07/2016) I was informed by several letters that the procedure would be under General anaesthetic, however during the preparation in the morning I was informed that it would not be . I immediately objected and informed the nurse, the nurse sought advice from the person who was to perform the procedure, they informed me that this time it would be different and if there was any problems they would stop straight away. Once again I experienced severe discomfort in fact it was reminiscent of a horror film, and it was not stopped. I feel let down and at this moment in time I am having sleepless nights. I have found the staff and service exceptional however, I feel I have been let down especially when appointment procedure information was completely incorrect.
I am trying to get more information from my doctor but the first appointment is 22/09/16 so I am seeking advice from other organisations.
