"Care for injuries/health problems"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske)

I badly twisted my ankle three days prior my visit to Treliske, so badly that I was unable to walk, hence my visit three days later.

When I could finally put my foot down,

I came to get some care as I too often twist my ankles (difformation of my legs).

I do not usually come but this time, it was really bad.

I waited three and half hours, was "offered" a bone x-ray (a Cornish obsession, whatever the problem, it always starts with an x-ray) which shows no breakage (obviously!) and after more waiting time,

I was seen by another nurse who told me to put my leg up and goodbye.

An identical injury in Bristol was treated with a plaster to help the damaged tissues and torned ligaments and tendons (I do have fibromyalgia) to recover followed by visits to the physio in order to strengthen the ankles and avoid further injuries. By the way,

I am 51 years old.

My ankles deteriorate but no medically trained personal (including my GPs) seems to see the importance and urgency to do something.

Shame on all of you in Cornwall for not acting as it was not my first serious health problem and so far, none has received the consideration and treatments from medically trained people.
