"My amazing experience in the delivery suite at LGI"

I'd like to thank all at the LGI for their amazing care when I gave birth to my son. As a first time mum, I was anxious my wishes for pain relief might be overruled, and worried about how everything would pan out. There seemed to be endless things that could go wrong. However, I can honestly say both my husband and I had an amazingly positive experience.

Every single staff member provided exceptional care, from Chloe the midwife, who stayed with me for the whole of her 12 hour shift, to the reassuring and friendly anaesthetist to Dr. Chris, who kept me calm by thoroughly explaining what was going on, and did such a fantastic job in surgery.

I've suffered next to no pain recovering from an episiotomy and third degree tear (due to baby having breathing difficulties). I knew I was in safe hands from the second I walked through the doors.

My son could not have received better attention either, the nurses in the delivery ward were compassionate, thorough and caring - even the hospital food was tasty!

I would recommend LGI to anyone, and could not be more proud of the NHS, who's staff do such an incredible job under such challenging circumstances. Well done to all.
