"Where is the dignity and respect in this action?"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

My mother became unwell just over a week ago and was sent to hospital by ambulance. On arriving at A&E she was dealt with quickly and very efficiently by members of staff who were friendly and reassuring. After several tests were done, she was told she would be admitted for the medical staff to reassess her, so I drove home and picked up an overnight bag for her.

On returning she was still in A&E but I left her in their care and told her I would return in the morning. To my surprise my mother who is 88 was sent home at 2:00 am to an empty house and by taxi, which of course she had to pay for. She did not have most of her clothes as I had taken them home with me, so she was provided with a mans pyjama top!

Where is the dignity and respect in this action? Not impressed Medway!
