I am on a constant merry-go-round trying to get this on a regular basis.
Often another appointment is not possible (for whatever reason) before I leave the hospital so it is constantly on. my mind to secure my next appointment and even calling the department after 5/6 weeks, am told no appointments are available.
My 3/4 month sessions turn into much longer at times so have to suffer constant itching and soreness from scratching my ears.
This service falls short of ENT departments I have been under in Dorset and then Hampshire, both of which also operate with few qualified staff in this discipline.
I have few problems .with the service I receive in Audiology - a very efficient department given the number of patients it sees on a regular drop-in basis.
As a hearing aid wearer for 24 years, it is not possible for me to do without this service, but wonder if it is offered at
NHS Health Centres elsewhere in Northampton, if that would ease the load at NGH?
Would appreciate any help.
