"waiting times for discharge"

About: Luton & Dunstable Hospital

Just a construtive criticisum , I have recently been in L&D for treatment via A&E twice & have 2 points to make .Why does it take some 4 hours to give a prescription to a patient that has been discharged earlier , could the prescription be sent for collection from our GPs pharmacy ,after being discharged by the doctor why does it take so long for the discharge letter to be supplied .I noticed many patients complainig about these issues . We are aware of the shortge of beds ,& if these issues could be considered it may help. these long waiting times also mean many patients have difficulty in arrangig collection by relatives at 5.00 pm in the rush hour . Yours Sincerly P Lawrence
