Visited A&E Thursday 21st July as our daughter had stapled her thumb in class at school. GP had advised A&E. Greeted by a lovely receptionist who got the measure of our circumstances and dealt with us in a really human way and with a lovely personable way about them. Triage was quick, straight to x ray and back to be treated all in 2 hours. Every member of staff dealt with us in a really caring way and as this was proberbly the most minor thing they had dealt with all day they still gave our daughter their full attention and sense of humour under the circumstances making our daughter feel calm in a place that has the ability to be quite a scary place. The added bonus of a teddy at reception was a lovely touch to our girls who thought we were in for a long wait. The pressure these people are under on a daily basis may go unnoticed by some but my family really appreciated everything they did.
