"Poor food"

About: Ellen's Glen House Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France

(as a relative),

I was worried about the quality of food that would be available while my mother was in the Royal Infirmary but was pleasantly surprised by it. Mum has now been moved to Ellens Glen where the food there is nothing less than diabolical. It is served on cold plates and is of a very very poor quality. I wouldn't feed my dog with it never mind my mother.

Dear Kab,

Thank you for your feedback about the food that your mum has received whilst in the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (RIE) and at Ellen's Glen House. I was pleased to hear that the food was better than you had expected at the RIE but very sorry to hear that things are not as good at Ellen's Glen for your mum.

I would hope that the staff at Ellen's Glen would be able to help you and would encourage you to speak to the staff when you are next visiting. I have also shared your feedback with the senior nurses at Ellen's Glen House so that they are aware of your feedback and support the staff to take action so that patients are not getting cold food.

Kind regards

Jeannette
