What I liked

Amazing staff,from Doctors to nurses.

First class care from entering A&E,to leaving the hospital some days later.

It would be almost impossible to say anything bad about the treatment i was given.

What could be improved

Food was of limited quality,and of similar quantity which i felt let down my overall thoughts about the hospital.

Anything else?

On 27th February 2010,i fell ill at home with chest pain and severe bouts of sweating.I drove to Derriford hospital A&E arriving around 4.00am,after speaking to reception i was seen within 2 minutes.Unfortunately i was sicker than i thought,and soon suffered a massive heart-attack and actually died.Thanks to the expert reactions and skills the doctors and nurses managed to revive me.Unfortunately i do not know who these doctors and nurses are,but through this hope my heartfelt thanks can be expressed to them.I was then operated on to repair the problem,by a clearly gifted doctor who's skills still amaze me.I was then sent to Torcross ward to be monitored,and to continue my recovery.Again the nurses and doctors involved in my recovery,treated me with kindness and always professionally.Only days after entering Torcross Ward i was well enough to actually return home to my wife and children.I feel great and am making the changes to my life needed to keep me healthy in the future.Thanks to all the staff at Derriford Hospital,i have a second chance and at only 43yrs old i am thankful for this.To the doctors and nurses who saved my life,i thankyou from the bottom of my heart.And to the doctors and nurses who helped my speedy recovery,especially one nurse on Torcross again i thankyou.I know the hospital often gets critisized,but as far as i'm concerned my experience was first class without fault.
