I was induced again with my second baby after a traumatic experience after induction with my first baby, I was understandably scared about the same happening this time round so after being induced, the pessary was giving me contractions overnight which left me exhausted, the night midwife was very patient with me and was very caring towards me which helped considering I was im a lot of pain. The next morning another midwife took over my care, she was amazing! After having my waters broken, I was taken to a delivery room where the midwife got to know myself and my partner, I told her about my previous experience and she was very understanding and supportive of my choice to labour on just gas and air. I laboured with the support of my partner and this amazing midwife and in no time I was pushing, she was very patient and reassuring and I delivered my beautiful baby boy, I unfortunately had another post partum haemorrhage but this time within seconds it was under control and I was surrounded by an amazing team of midwives and doctors. I stayed in the delivery room for a while afterwards on drips and wasn't moved until I felt 100% okay again, the care on my was fab and again full of very patient and understanding midwives and support workers. We were discharged the following night at around 9pm. I can't thank the amazing midwives enough for supporting me to have the birth that I wanted.
