"waste of time"

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital

I was referred to orthopedics from dermatology after my MRI showed problems with my neck. After waiting for almost a year to see consultant after I was booked into wrong consultant clinic I feel totally let down. I saw one of the consultants team who didn't go through my MRI, asked me irrelevant questions and then went to get consultant. When consultant came to see me I was told I couldn't be helped at this time and discharged. I saw consultant for less than 5 minutes, felt totally patronized and upset. No explanation was given about any sort of treatment and subsequent letters to consultant asking for explanations have answered none of my questions. As an ex nurse I am disgusted, I am still in a great deal of pain, experience numbness daily and am back to square one not knowing where to go from here
