"Mum was treated with dignity and respect"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / General Medicine

(as a relative),

My mum was an in-patient in ward 3E Crosshouse hospital and as a result of her Alzheimers she was sectioned and transferred to Ward 3 Woodlawn View. The care my mum received and the support we received as a family was absolutely exceptional. My mum was treated with dignity and respect and despite her challenging behaviour the care she got from all the staff on this ward was second to none.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear by JMS,

That is really good to hear. It is worrying enough when someone is unwell and in hospital without the added burden of knowing there are additional challenges to overcome during their care.

Thank you for sharing this with us I will be delighted to pass this to the team, such positive feedback is so great for staff to hear.

best wishes,

Eunice
