"Not a great experience at all"

Took my sister who has extreme anxiety here for her referral, the staff in the room she was seen were very rude throughout, and very sarcastic. The nurse smirked at the doctor and one point and at another sat down with their eyes closed falling asleep. My sister was very upset when she left and hope we won't have to come here again.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I can’t apologise enough for any upset caused during your recent visit to our NHS centre. I would hope that our staff would always respond to a patient's anxiety with kindness and compassion - it's really sad to hear this was not your sister's experience at all.

The staff behaviours you describe are completely unacceptable and I would like to look into this straight away to discover more about what happened at the time of your visit.

In order for me to be able to speak to the staff involved it would be helpful for us to have your sisters details- this will allow us to see which clinic she attended and which staff were on-duty at the time. With your sister's permission please could you email her details privately to Annie.Laverty@nhct.nhs.uk.

In the meantime I will forward your email to the matron in charge so we can begin looking into what happened.

Please extend my apologies and kind regards to your sister.

Looking forward to hearing from you

Annie,

Annie Laverty – Director of Patient Experience
