About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Gateshead)

Been in a&e for 4 hours now, yet to be seen with a 38 week pregnant lady. We've seen more cleaners than drs. In addition to this we couldn't get a go appointment for 2 weeks and the midwife we have replies to queries using word like "maybe" and "possibly". Really stumped as to why we're so proud of a free service when it would probably be better if privatised and paid for via insurance. QE tonight has been useless.... at the rate of being seen my wife could be Labour, so I guess there may be a aspect of convenience.
