About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital

I took my daughter here, after being referred from Wycombe Minor Injuries Unit. Waited 2 hours to see a doctor who then disappeared without explanation and never came back! After being left in a room for another few hours with no support, pain relief or tests being done and an extremely upset and traumatised toddler, decided to discharge her and instead go to Wrexham Hospital where my daughter received amazing treatment. Clearly there is a staffing/training problem at Stoke and it is up to Management to sort instead of ignoring!

I am so sorry to read that your daughter was left for several hours in the A&E Department at Stoke Mandeville Hospital without any support or pain releif. It is further disappointing, to hear that you decided to leave the department and instead take your daughter to Wexham Park A&E, where she received amazing treatment.

I can understand how distressing this situation must have been for you and your daughter and we are concerned to learn that this was your experience of Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust’s services.
