I was impressed the sunday night before my cataract operation that someone took the trouble to phone and inform me to be there at 11-30am not 7-30am as they were still to receive my notes from Charing Cross.I later realised that the "someone" was the surgeon who performed my operation at around 2.00pm. They were brilliant, had a very comforting and professional manner and led the theatre team with respect to their individual roles. The receptionists and post-op staff were efficient and courteous, whilst having to work in quite cramped conditions. I was picked up at 2-30pm and now have much better vision which will hopefully lead to lower golf scores and safer driving!
I will always stick up for the NHS!
