Some elements of the mindfulness course were useful. I found the written 'scientific explanations' a little more useful than the practices. this is partially because I find easier to understand why I feel the way I do when there is an explanation behind it. It helps me to notice things more and change them.
I felt to some extent I practice mindfulness anyway, whether it be walking, focusing on my pets, gardening etc. What I do find hard is when things get overwhelming is to stop and put these practices into place as its almost the last thing I want to do, so more help in this area would have been beneficial. I feel this course has been the very beginning of my self help with a journey to follow.
