"Inappropriate behaviour"

About: Huddersfield Hospital

On the three visits I had to the hospital I experienced much inappropriate behaviour. I have an unusual name and it is common for people to make mistakes with it but at this hospital the nurse wasn't making any apology for it and was quite rude.- The receptionist and another member of staff thought it appropriate to let a small toddler run around whilst patients waited in main reception. The child was very noisy and on two occasions was told to keep out of the theatre area! I think this hospital has much to learn about conduct and dignity.

Thank you for your comments.

I am sorry to hear that you experienced inappropriate behaviour.

We strive to offer a calm environment for our patients and am sorry if we did not achieve this during your visits to the hospital.

This is unusual as the hospital is generally warm and welcoming.

If you would like to discuss this further please do not hesitate to contact me on 01484 550467.

Liz Oke, Executive Director
