I waited 9 months for an appointment. On the day i travelled from the Midlands and everything seemed to go ok and i was given a follow up appointment for 3 months later. When i got home and checked, the letter i had been given belonged to someone else. I had to phone up to check if my apointment was booked. They told me i would be sent a new letter with the correct details on it which i never received. 2 months later my appointment is cancelled and re-booked a further 3 months away. Apparently my consultant is unavailable. The secretary told me i cant re-book and just have to accept the new appointment or i will be discharged. My GP is very unhappy because the specialist has not provided any instructions on how to manage my condition. My GP has written to Guy's hospital for instruction but after speaking to the secretary today they couldn't even confirm if my letter would be read by anyone because the specialist isn't there. I am now in limbo. The management of the dermatology dept at guy's is appalling and it is not fit for purpose
"A waste of my time"
