I've already posted a story about the complications with my pre treatment journey. But wanted to tell you about the very positive experience I had during my recent treatment at Wishaw General hospital.
I attended both Monklands Hospital and Wishaw General as part of a scheduled Wide local excision (lumpectomy) and sentinel node biopsy. The treatment I received through these days was reassuringly professional, courteous and empathetic throughout.
From the staff in the Nuclear Medicine team at Monklands, and then all the staff at Wishaw General: the porters, the nursing staff on the day surgery ward, the incredibly reassuring nursing staff and doctors who conducted the very scary wire localisation and finally to the Anaesthetist and anaesthetic nurse and my fabulous surgeon- please, please please do not underestimate how much your calm, professional and personal treatment helped me through this procedure. My journey to that point had been frazzled to say the least. But each person I met treated me like an individual and helped me through this process. I'm sorry I can't remember all of your names but I will never forget how much you supported me through this experience.
Thank you all.
