"Condescending attitude by consultant"

About: Rotherham Hospital

Had a consultation recently for recurring chalazion on my eye lids, from the moment I sat down the consultant informed me the new chalazion was in the same place as the last which was incorrect and had they read the notes they could quite clearly see that, after that I was told not wearing glasses could be the cause of my problems as if I'd chosen not to wear glasses, I don't wear glasses. Despite three previous eye tests in ophthalmology no one suggested I had a problem with my sight and I might need glasses and then to finish off I was told previous advice from the same department to use baby shampoo to maintain proper eye hygiene was incorrect as if once again this was my fault. All of this done in a very condescending manner as if it was my fault and I was wasting their time. I won't be using Rotherham ophalomology again I will be referred to a nearby area.
