I have has pain treatment at this hospital and Northwood for over 20 years. I went to see the pain nurse on the 5th August last year, they were arranging for me to have more steroid injection in my lower spine that I have had in the past, in the twenty odd years I have attended this hospital. I have never had to wait almost a year in server pain for. A whole year and still not have received an appointment even though my wife has phoned up three times to see when I am going to Even get an appointment, I do not blame the pain nurse or my consultant but beleve this is more to do with the way the system of these co ordinators are working the appointments out. The last time we phoned they said that they were still dealing with appointments from the previous May of the year before. Previously before these co ordinators took over going back years as soon as you had a procedure done a nurse gave you an appointment date to see the consultant again normally about three month on. My consultant and nurse are great, but these co ordinators can never give you any advice on when you will be seen again
