I took my grandchild, aged 18, to A & E at St Mary's yesterday evening and was very pleasantly surprised to be dealt with so quickly.

There was a cotton bud stuck in her ear so it was not too serious and I thought we would be there for hours.

Instead we were quickly called and sent to the UCC section where a GP would see us and a remarkable doctor syringed her ear and removed the cotton bud within 10 minutes.

We were very happy to be going home so quickly with the problem resolved thanks to the staff at St. Mary's.
