"Cannot thank the midwives enough"

About: Salford Royal

Me and my boyfriend was very scared off giving birth at Salford Royal as their isn't any doctors and having to be transferred to st Mary's hospital if anything went wrong plus if I wanted the eperidual, but I can not thank the midwife enough whilst I was in their from the first time I went in I had all the care I wanted until I went home. They did everything possible to help me I can not remember their name but please could you pass this message on to the midwife who delivered my baby for me as I couldn't thank them. Also their was another midwife, seen the first time I went in when my waters broke they did everything possible to help me bring labour on, if I didn't have my baby girl within 24 hours I would have to be on antibiotics in Bolton hospital witch I didn't want to go Bolton as I've heard a lot off things about Bolton hospital, , the midwifes in this unit and very polite and you should be so proud off your staff I can not thank them enough for all their help, also the rooms are so relaxing whilst your in labour with radio playing, after you've gave birth you can stay in their as long as you want whereas Bolton and other maternity hospitals you have to go within 2 days and plus the I loved the fact my boyfriend could stay with me all the way through I as very scared of going to anther maternity unit and being on my own, I cannot thank the midwifes enough for delivering my baby saftley if only people would know they could have their baby's at Salford Royal because I will defiantly have my next baby here if I get pregnant again, I would Highly recommend to anyone!

Dear Bethany

Thank you for your comments, it is reassuring to hear you are pleased with the care you have received whilst in the unit, which I am sure the staff at St Mary's (who run this service) will be delighted to know.

We hope your new baby is settling in well... all the best for you and your family!
