My husband has lung cancer, I called 111 when he began to feel unwell. They sent a paramedic who arrived very promptly, it was so reassuring when he called. The young man was absolutely wonderful, took his time examining my husband and although he thought my husband would recovery from the temporary setback he was experiencing he called a doctor for confirmation. The paramedic waited with us, he said he would do all his paperwork, until the doctor called back and was able to reassure us the it was a temporary episode my husband was going through and that he would recover from that without further treatment. The paramedic put both my husband and myself at ease, no question was too much trouble and he made sure we were both ok before he left.
"Paramedic prompt, reassuring and wonderful"
